Which transmitter Tadworth points at
Tadworth and the rest of KT20 sit in genuine Crystal Palace signal shadow. The North Downs ridge — Box Hill, Colley Hill, Walton Heath — is high enough and close enough that pointing a 'high-gain' wideband at Crystal Palace simply doesn't work for most rooftops south of the A217. Hannington (south-west, on the Hampshire downs) is the reliable Freeview transmitter for most of Tadworth proper, with the Reigate relay as an option for properties on the southern slopes towards Lower Kingswood. We carry meters on every visit — and we keep both Group A and log-periodic aerials on the van so we can fit the right antenna once the test is done.
