We install the Sky Q dish, mini boxes and the wired Ethernet that makes multi-room actually work — without Sky's two-week wait or their access rules about where the dish can go. You keep the Sky subscription, we sort the hardware properly.
Sky's own engineers are good — but they're booked weeks ahead and they're restricted on where they'll put a dish (no chimney mounts, height limits, won't drill brickwork in certain ways). We work to whatever your house needs: chimney, gable, pole-mount, soffit, hidden round the back. We install your kit; Sky still bills the subscription.
Sky Q mini boxes are supposed to stream from the main box over Wi-Fi. In real Surrey houses with brick walls and 1930s lath-and-plaster, Wi-Fi rarely cuts it — picture freezes, mini boxes drop. We run a tidy Cat6 Ethernet to each mini box during install and the whole system suddenly behaves the way Sky's marketing says it does.
No dish needed — but you still need solid Ethernet to the TV, the right wall mount, and the speakers set up properly. We install Sky Glass / Sky Stream alongside or instead of a dish-based Sky Q setup.
Yes. Sky doesn't restrict who installs the dish or the cabling — they bill the subscription and you can use any qualified engineer for the hardware. Most of our Sky Q jobs are people who don't want to wait three weeks for a Sky slot.
Often, yes — if your existing Sky+ dish is in good condition, it'll work for Sky Q. The LNB sometimes needs swapping to a wideband Sky Q LNB. We check on arrival.
Main-box-only Sky Q install from £120. Multi-room with mini boxes and wired Ethernet typically £180–£280 depending on the number of rooms and cable runs. Quoted before we start.
Almost always Wi-Fi. Sky Q mini boxes stream from the main box and Wi-Fi can't reliably carry HD video through brick walls. Wiring a Cat6 cable to each mini box fixes it permanently.
